While a number of electrified vehicles are aimed at lowering gasoline costs, only a few have reached the top of our list. Among these cars are the Maserati MC20, the Audi e-tron, the Kia Niro EV, and the Volvo XC40. Read on to find out which models deserve a place on this list. Maserati MC20

The Maserati MC20 electric car will use advanced Formula 1 and Formula E technologies to maximize its performance and driving range. While it is difficult to predict exactly when Audi will launch its first all-electric vehicle, we do know that it will be coming soon. As of now, we know that it will be launched in 2020. During that year, we will see the introduction of its sexy e-Tron GT model. The E-Tron GT will be available in Prestige and Premium Plus trim levels.

Kia Niro EV

The new Kia Niro EV is a futuristic electric vehicle with quirky exterior design and a seven-year history of production. It has many standard features such as wireless phone connectivity, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It has a redesigned EX premium trim that adds a heated steering wheel and ventilation for the front seats.

Volvo XC40

The upcoming Volvo XC40 will be the brand’s flagship model in 2022. This battery-electric crossover will carry over nearly unchanged from the previous model year. The new crossover is available in Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription trims. The XC40 Recharge will have one monospec configuration, with the remaining versions coming in both monospec and premium trims. All XC40 Recharge vehicles will come with AWD as standard.

Volkswagen ID.3

The VW ID.3 electric car is a striking and desirable new addition to VW’s lineup. As a longtime VW owner, I was impressed by how well the ID.3 balanced futuristic design with practicality. It will compete with the Citroen e-C4, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Nissan Leaf. But with all its benefits, the ID.3 may still prove to be too expensive.

Ford F-150 Lightning

In the year 2022, the Ford F-150 Lightning may be the best electric car. It’s an electric pickup truck with standard LED headlights, rear light bars, and closed off grill. It features rounded edges for aerodynamics and a charging door located near the front driver wheel. Despite its many benefits, it’s a tough sell for many potential buyers.
